Coorg

Photoblogging is so much easier. I could have written on and on about our drive to the Tata Coffee plantations in Coorg on a very rainy weekend, but the somewhat cranky beta (he's teething) has slept and there are scores of blogs I want to read.
So I'll just post some pictures. From driving out on a rainy morning to the greenery that almost made my eyes hurt.

It rained all the three days we were there, so we stayed put at the guesthouse most of the time, sipping endless cups of chai/coffee, increasing our girth by hogging whatever was offered (did not love famous Coorgi Pork curry much)and driving out once in a while. Would've loved to have done some nice walking round the plantation but hey, it's only six hours away. And rain or shine, with a view like that, how could you even complain?

Hi,

I come back to your blog every so often. And these pictures bring back... not memories exactly but sensations. And I wish I was in Coorg like 5 (6? 7?) years ago!

Rain and filter coffee and *startling* green...

Coorg, Kodagu as it is also called, is indeed very beautiful. I was there a few years back and the place left an indelible impression more so because it left me cripped for about an year..lol, met with a freak accident. But that was after I had thoroughly enjoyed the fascinating place. Did you see Khushalnagar too??

That's more green than I've seen in a loooooooooooooooong time :(

Lee: I can imagine. Shld I send you some photographs as eyedrops? :)

Handful: Yes I did see Kushalnagar but was disappointed. Perhaps it was very commercialised, perhaps there were too many tourist buses offloading too many noisy children...dunno which.

Govind: Thank you. ha ha, had lots of coffee there. do you have a blog too?

Aqua: The greenery is amazing. Just take off on a weekend.

Jaygee: It must be the best weather. Though I wish it had stopped raining a bit so that we could've gone on some walks.

Didi:
Your post along with the photos on Coorg is simply amazing. We all liked them. Second photograph from the last says everything about the place. It is worthy for framing with a caption “Happiness is found along the way and not the end of the road.”
You all had Good Days & GOOD TIME.
We look forward to more pictures on your blog.
